Force beat Oscar

Imphal, March 3: Force Khetrigao posted an eight-wicket win over Oscar Paona Bazar in the first MCA Plate Cricket Tournament played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium today.

In a low-scoring match, Force batsmen were at the mercy of some accurate pace attack by Oscar bowler Semson, who bagged five wickets, leaving them all out for 61 runs from13.2 overs in a 30-over match. Force batsman Sarfaraj, who scored 11, was the only one to score in double figures.

Force bowlers proved their mettle too as they replied with Parveez claiming four wickets and Khurshid getting three wickets to get Oscar Paona Bazar batsmen back to the pavilion for 53 in 28.4 overs.

Force bowler Parveez got the Man of the Match award for his four-wicket haul.

Veteran T20: Reyoungster Nagamapal defeated DSU Kwakeithel by 51 runs in the second T20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament played at Langthabal Public Ground today.

Batting first, Reyoungster batsmen put up a modest score of 145 runs losing five wickets.

In reply, DSU batsmen managed just 94 runs losing seven wickets from 20 overs.
