Shillong: Rangdajied United FC reaped rich dividends by roping in striker Ranty Martins as the Nigerian scored the winning goal for the home team against frontrunners Bengaluru FC (BFC) in a round 17 encounter of the Airtel I-League at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, on Saturday.
This was Rangdajied’s third victory of the season and could not have come at a more important time. The three points earned by Rangdajied from Saturday’s encounter were crucial as the team face a relegation threat.
After Saturday’s matches, Rangdajied and Churchill Brothers both have 15 points, however Rangdajied have played a match more and are lying at the bottom. Mohammedan Sporting, with 17 points from 16 matches, are third from the bottom.
