New Delhi: Double trap shooter Ronjan Sodhi has his work cut out for him in 2014. A busy schedule ahead of him that includes Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, four World Cup meets and a World championship, the star shooter’s initial target is to retain the gold in the Asian Games.
A former world No. 1, who twice won the World Cup in 2010 and 2011, Sodhi felt he is capable of defending the title that he won in Guangzhou four years ago.
“I know the Asian Games would be very competitive but I think I will be able to do it there again,” said Sodhi on Tuesday.
“Equally tough will be World championship, which will offer a quota place for the Rio Olympics,” he added.
Along with trap shooter Manavjit Sandhu, Sodhi is organising a three-day shotgun open championship in the capital from Wednesday.
