Bangladesh drub Hojai, Manipur men triumph

Imphal, Feb. 18: Bangladesh got the better of India (Hojai team) by 37-16 points in the 2nd International Invitational Kang Tournament at Kangshang, Khuman Lampak sports complex, today.

In another match, India (Manipur team) beat India (Jiribam team) by 34-33 points in the menís category.

In the girlsí category events played at Laijing Ningthou Shanglen Thangmeiband, India (Singribon team) beat India (Manipur team) by 16-13 points.

In tomorrowís menís match, India (Singribon) will take on India (Hojai) at Khuman Lampak.

Altogether six teams are participating in the tournament.

The Manipur Kang Association had invited players from Thailand and Myanmar but they could not make it to the tournament.

Felicitation: The Manipur Squash Association feted its president S. Manglemjao Singh on his promotion to IGP Manipur at Mapal Kangjeibung today.

The Manipur Squash Association will also construct a new court by July, 2016.

Memorial hockey

The YCCIC Kontha Ahallup is organising the 2nd Y. Rashmani Memorial Invitation Menís Open Seven-a-Side Hockey Tournament from February 23 at Kontha Ahallup ground, under the aegis of Hockey Manipur.
