Karachi: Pakistan’s new head coach Moin Khan on Wednesday said that he would have preferred to have been given a long term contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board but was ready for a short stint as well.
“Any one would like to be given a long term contract but I am ready to take up the challenge of preparing this team for two very important tournaments like the Asia Cup and the World T20,” the former Pakistan captain said.
“A coach can produce results when he has enough time to put his plans into place. But my immediate task is to prepare this team to give their best in the coming events and prove myself and live up to the faith reposed in me by the PCB and its committee members,” he said. The former wicket-keeper-batsman said Pakistan were blessed as they have a good mixture of experience and raw talent in both one-day and T20Is.
