Bud club beaten by City

Guwahati, Feb. 12: City Cricket Coaching Centre registered a convincing 62-run win over Bud Cricket Club Academy in their match of the second Under-14 Inter-Coaching Centre Cricket Tournament, organised by Guwahati Sports Association, at the Janata Bhawan Parade Ground here today.

Put in to bat, City Cricket batsmen put up a competitive total of 199 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 30 overs.

Anup Bhujal topscored with 50 runs off 53 balls while Kamla Alam chipped in with 34 runs off 43 deliveries. Akash Maurya remained not out with 30 runs off 14 balls while Raja Naibil Islam was the other notable contributor with the bat with 27 runs facing 15 deliveries.

Sarangajyoti Deka scalped two wickets going for 18 runs in his six overs.

In reply, Bud Cricket batsmen could only manage 137 runs before being bundled out in 28.5 overs.

Monikorna Sarma scored 33 runs off 31 deliveries while Himjyoti Sarma contributed 23 runs off 33 balls. Raja Naibil Islam was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his kitty for 17 runs in his five overs.

Gauhati Town Club Cricket Academy will play Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre tomorrow.
