A fashion show at the city club scorched the ramp with a bevy of sari-clad beauties

Draped in romance: Calcutta models sashayed the ramp in chic, utterly feminine chiffon saris, at Dhanbad Club on Wednesday morning. Gujarat-based Minakshi Saris unveiled their new spring-summer collection before Dhanbad retailers. Looking timelessly ephemeral yet effortlessly today, a bevy of beauties cat-walked in pastel saris, which were offset by bold hues like fuschia or fusion motifs. Accessories, make-up and bodices nailed the socialite-meets-mermaid look. Company’s managing director Narendra Modi — yes, the namesake — spoke on the softness of the fabric and raised a toast to the woman of today, equally at home with tradition and trends, and who wants it all.
