Hostel violence

Two groups of students, allegedly belonging to the Minto and Jackson hostels of Patna University, clashed on Wednesday evening during a Goddess Saraswati idol immersion ceremony.

According to the police the boys disobeyed the directions when asked to go straightaway to the Gandhi Ghat. They headed towards the Kargil Chowk and a clash took place between the groups over some issue. The boys allegedly clashed with some shopkeepers.

Until the filing of the report, the police was on the spot and were trying to bring the situation under control.
