1 How do you break the ice on the golf course with someone you’ve never played with before?
Nikki Ponappa: If the person is playing well, usually complimenting his or her game works as a good icebreaker. And then things like, ‘Where are you from?’ and so on.
2 What outfit do you wear if you want to attract attention?
Sharmila Nicollet:I’ve got good arms and legs so I’d go for colour-coordinated skirts or shorts.
3 How do you add that girlie touch to your look?
Ankita Tiwana: I like everything that’s chhan-chhan like anklets…. I’d like to start wearing ribbons in my hair too!
4 How else do you accessorise?
Sharmila: Colourful rubber bands, belts, earrings and I love my diamond rings. I also change my nail polish everyday!
5 On a day you’re feeling fat, you…
Ankita: Wake up and skip 500 times!
Priya Puri: Cycle, sprint or do a hundred crunches!
6 Which sunscreen do you swear by?
Ankita: Neutrogena SPF 50.
Priya: Banana Boat.
7 Do you have a lucky colour?
Sharmila: Pink on the last day.
8 A superstition you follow is…
Ankita: I keep my card in my right back pocket and glove in the left and if I’m not playing well, I switch it!
9 The song that played on loop in your head today?
Priya: Paradise by Coldplay.
10They look up to…
“In spite of all the drama, he has kept his ranking up there,” says Sharmila. (Psst: Tiger is all set to tee off at the Delhi Golf Club on his first visit to India on February 4.)
“She has a great record including 10 majors… and I Skyped with her once!” smiles Nikki.
“I like his whole aura on the course. I like how aggressive he is yet you never know if he’s having a bad day!” says Ankita.
“The Thai pro golfer started playing late in life (17 years) and so did I, so I can totally relate to him. He is my inspiration,” says Priya.
