British Council seminars

Aspiring to study in UK? Here is a chance to know the universities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland better.

The British Council on Tuesday launched the Great UK education seminars in Jamshedpur as a part of its Great Britain campaign. Besides, Sujata Sen, director of East India, British Council, also launched the Great Scholarships Programme-India — a brochure containing details of the varsities.

Under the Great UK education seminars programme, officials of the British Council will visit city schools to inform students about career prospects in Great Britain. To begin with, they will host a seminar on Wednesday at the Fortune Park Centre Point Hotel in Bistupur. The seminars will focus on undergraduate, post-graduate courses and research programmes. Students will also get to know about the visa processing.

The scholarship programme will offer 370 scholarships worth one million pound. “The guide will be helpful, while the seminars will shed light on education prospects,” said Sen.

Launched in February 2012, Great is an international marketing programme designed to promote business, tourism and education in UK.
