Debangana, Anurag win

Guwahati, Jan. 21: Anurag Buragohain of Guwahati and Debangana Borkakoty of Jorhat lifted double crowns in the Oil India All-Assam Junior Tennis Championship that concluded at Zaloni Club courts in Duliajan today.

Anurag won the under-12 and under-14 boys’ singles and Debangana lifted the under-14 and under-18 girls’ singles titles. Anurag blanked home lad Udit Gogoi 6-0, 6-0 in under-12 final and beat another Duliajan boy, Prahlad Borthakur, 6-2, 6-2 in the under-14 final.

Debangana won the under-14 crown defeating Eva Raj Shah of Guwahati 6-0, 6-3. In the under-18 final, she beat Shrestha Barua of Jorhat 6-1, 6-1.
