Calcutta/New Delhi: The BCCI has called an emergent meeting of its members in Chennai on January 23 but the affiliated units are unaware about the agenda.
At least two affiliated units confirmed that they have received a circular from the BCCI headquarters about the emergent meeting but are clueless about the agenda. “We have received a mail that there is an emergent meeting in Chennai on January 23. As far as the agenda is concerned, the circular didn’t have any mention of it,” a senior office-bearer of one of the state units said.
The current regime of the BCCI under N. Srinivasan has started calling emergent meetings without any agenda. This has never happened before.
There is a possibility that the meeting might have been called to discuss about the scheduling of the seventh edition of IPL whose dates haven’t been announced.
