Cops shuffled

Guwahati, Jan. 16: The Assam government today shuffled superintendents of police, transferring 17 officers.

An official source said among them, four were transferred with promotion.

He said additional SP (traffic) of Guwahati Amanjit Kaur has been promoted to SP rank and she will replace Sanjukta Parashar as Jorhat SP. Parashar is now SP of Sonitpur district in place of Arabinda Kalita, who has been transferred to Nagaon.

Kamrup SP Partha Sarathi Mahanta will hold the post of SP, special branch (security).

“Pranabjyoti Goswami will be the new SP (traffic) of Guwahati replacing Bibe-kananda Das who has been transferred as SP, special branch (zonal). Darrang SP Jitmol Doley will be commandant of the commando battalion at Mandakata,” he said.
