Calcutta: The CAB has made a medical insurance of Rs 1 lakh mandatory for every club cricketer. Besides, a special grant of Rs 25,000 will be given to all the clubs to ensure they maintain proper coaching staff.
“CAB will arrange for the insurance amount. When it comes to the coaching staff, clubs can appoint only those coaches with Level A, B or C degree in coaching or who has represented the state during his playing days,” treasurer Biswarup Dey said after the finance committee meeting.
The CAB is also mulling on awarding special prize money to teams who finish in the top-10 of the first-division league.
