Manipur bag 19 gold medals

Imphal, Dec. 19: Manipur claimed 19 gold medals on the third day of the 20th National Thang Ta Championship 2013 held at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium.

Manipur’s 14 gold medals came from sub-junior boys’ phunaba ama and girls phunaba anisuba category while the other five gold came from junior girls’ phunaba ama category.

Assam got two gold medals with Nondita Devi in junior girls 48kg and Y. Neha in sub-junior girls phunaba anisuba 49kg bout.

Delhi have two gold medals and Nagaland have a gold medal with a day left in the competition.
