Amin loses BCA polls

Vadodara: Former IPL chairman Chirayu Amin lost the presidential election of the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA), while BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel was re-elected as one of the two secretaries, here, on Tuesday.

Amin lost to Simarjitsinh Gaekwad by a margin of 218 votes after the results of the BCA elections held last Sunday were declared. Simarjitsinh Gaekwad defeated Amin by 1066-848 margin.

Patel and Anshuman Gaekwad were elected as secretaries of the association, while Amul Jikar was voted as treasurer. Patel secured 928 votes, while Anshuman Gaekwad polled 978. Patel belongs to the panel of Simarjitsinh.
