Bus falls into river

Jorhat, Dec. 17: A bus on board a boat coming from Kamalabari ghat in Majuli slipped from the deck while nearing Neematighat here today.

KMSS protest

Guwahati: Members of the KMSS on Tuesday staged a protest in front of the Pollution Control Board, Assam here demanding action to shut brick kilns, cement plants, stone crushers and other polluting industrial plants close to agricultural land and residential areas.
