Bow to goddess

Hazaribagh, Dec. 17: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today visited Rajrappa to invoke Maa Chhinnamastika, known as the goddess of power, seeking blessings to regain lost ground.

Accompanied by son Tejaswi and party leaders, Lalu arrived at the temple, around 28km from Ramgarh district headquarters, about noon and offered puja to the goddess.

“I have come here to pray for betterment of people of the country and seek blessings for me,” Lalu said, coming out of the temple.

Sources said some party leaders had pledged a special puja to Maa Chhinnamastika if Lalu was given bail.

From Rajrappa, Lalu went to Hazaribagh town.

After garlanding a statue of BR Ambedkar at District More on NH-33, the RJD chief addressed a gathering of party supporters.

Later, he went to minister Annapurna Devi’s residence in Koderma and had lunch.

“Don’t get upset even if I am in jail. Now, you are Lalu and you will have to fight,” he told party workers.
