India aim to bridge gap

Calcutta: The two-Test series against South Africa, starting on Wednesday in Johannesburg, will give India a chance to close the gap between them and the No. 1 ranked side on the Reliance ICC Test Team Rankings Table.

South Africa enter the series as the leaders with 131 ratings points, while India are in second place with 119 points. Whatever the outcome of the series, both South Africa and India are assured of retaining their pre-series ranking.
