London: Defending champions Manchester United travel to Aston Villa on Sunday after the confidence boost of beating Ukrainians Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday to top their Champions League group.
United travel to Villa Park without a Premier League success in the last three games. Manager David Moyes will be without striker Robin van Persie, who has been ruled out for a month with a thigh injury, while midfielder Marouane Fellaini is likely to miss out with a back problem.
In another high-voltage match on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane. Andre Villas-Boas’ side go into the game on the back of a five-match unbeaten run – including four wins – which has lifted some of the pressure on their under-fire boss after their lacklustre 0-6 rout at Manchester City.
But it will be tough against a Liverpool side who will be full of confidence after posting 5-1 and 4-1 wins over Norwich and West Ham at home.
Villa will be looking to pull off a win knowing that victory would move them level on points with United.
