EB face an upbeat BFC

Calcutta: Kingfisher East Bengal will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on table-toppers Bengaluru FC (BFC) in an Airtel I-League at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Sunday.

A win will help East Bengal stop the hosts’ unbeaten record at home. East Bengal will be taking heart from the fact that Bangalore has always been a lucky venue for them. It is here the visitors have won the Federation Cup back in 1985 and Stafford Cup in 1986.

Debutants BFC will look to consolidate their position at the top of the table. They have shown that their dream start to the campaign was no fluke and it will take something special from the visitors to deny the hosts another win. (Agencies)
