Tribute to tennis great

Guwahati, Dec. 10: The Anup Lahoty Open Tennis Championship will be held at India Club here from December 12 to 15.

“We are organising the championship in memory of one of the finest tennis players the state has ever produced. Altogether 100 to 120 players from the Northeast and Darjeeling are expected to participate in the championship,” club president Prasanta Das said.

The championship will have a category for under-14 boys and girls and will feature men and women’s doubles matches along with veterans’ doubles in three age categories and mixed doubles.
