Guwahati, Dec. 10: Maharana Athletic Club got the better of Pepsi Cricket Club by four wickets in their match of the 22nd Ankurjyoti Challenge Limited Overs Cricket Tournament for the Ratan Lal Singhania and Mohini Devi Singhania Trophy at the Judges Field here today.

Put into bat, Pepsi Cricket Club managed 143 runs before being bundled out in 26.2 overs. Nurul Amin topscored with 79 runs off 64 deliveries. Amar Das, Sukhman Mohori and Raja Ahmed of Maharana scalped two wickets each.

In reply, Maharana batsmen got past the target losing six wickets in 29.5 overs. Dipanjal Mazumdar scored 38 runs off 69 deliveries while Raja Ahmed chipped in with 26 runs off 35 balls.

Gauhati Town Club will play Dynamo Club tomorrow.

On the other hand, City Cricket Coaching Centre registered a five-run victory over R.J. Academy in their match of the Ankurjyoti Challenge Trophy under-16 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament at the Latasil Ground here today.

Ankurjyoti Cricket Coaching Centre will face Bud Cricket Coaching Centre tomorrow.

Jintu Gogoi football: Rupjyoti Sangha defeated Good Morning Club 3-1 in a Pool B first round match of the tenth Jintu Gogoi Football tournament at Chowkidinghee ground today.
