Calcutta: East Bengal take on a confident Rangdajied United FC (RUFC) in Airtel I-League , at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in Shillong, on Saturday.
Fresh from their maiden victory, the Shillong club hope to create another upset following a 2-0 triumph over Mohun Bagan in their last match.
The home fans will now expect them to repeat a similar feat here. And that task is very much achievable as their opponents are looking vulnerable.
East Bengal have played just eight games so far and won three, lost three and drawn two. One of the problems for the experienced East Bengal coach Armando Colaco is that quite a few players are carrying injuries.
No wonder then that the reserve bench will be put to test against the buoyant RUFC.
East Bengal are currently in the ninth place with 11 points. RUFC, on the other hand, are in the 12th spot.
