Bihar Transport Association members on Friday demanded adequate security and better roads on their travel routes.
Sanjay Jain, president, Bihar Transport Association, said: “There is a need to intensify patrolling on the Gopalganj-Muzaffarpur route, as many robberies are carried out there. Eleven FIRs have been lodged regarding these incidents.”
“It takes a minimum of 48 hours to reach Pipra Kothi from Gopalganj. If the condition had been good, it would have taken only two-three hours. Traffic jams also compound our woes,” said association vice-president Satyendra Tiwari.
