Students, on the sidelines of the annual athletics meet of Bishop’s School at Bahu Bazar in Ranchi on Wednesday, wait for their moment in the sun; green and yellow balloons were perfect ambassadors for the eco-friendly campaign to take off; and a drill added a dash of colour and a splash of save-water message. As many as 1,200 students took part in the track-and-field events and the drills on the school’s sprawling grounds. Former Jharkhand chief secretary Shiv Basant sportingly turned up as chief guest. It’s all about sporting a colour code with a difference at the 13th annual sports meet of Baridih High School at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, on Tuesday. Yoga buffs in blue (above) strike the perfect balance between staying fit and being calm, while a girl , pretty in pink, strikes a kathak pose. Around 1,500 students participated in track-and-field disciplines and drills. Adarsh Agrawal, managing director of Jamipol, lauded the children for putting up an excellent show.
