The future of democracy is safe, we are happy to report on the basis of the rapt attention some MLAs paid to an illuminating debate in the Bengal Assembly on Thursday on the “challenges before parliamentary democracy”. As many as 21 speakers expounded on the subject, casting a mesmerising spell on the listeners from 11am to 1.30pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. There was a one-hour lunch break at 1.30pm. others were sitting in their seats....
Are their names written anywhere?
