Deeply immersed in discussion on ‘challenges before parliamentary democracy’

The future of democracy is safe, we are happy to report on the basis of the rapt attention some MLAs paid to an illuminating debate in the Bengal Assembly on Thursday on the “challenges before parliamentary democracy”. As many as 21 speakers expounded on the subject, casting a mesmerising spell on the listeners from 11am to 1.30pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. There was a one-hour lunch break at 1.30pm. An old man had three sons. He told his sons who never did well in the exams to run the house. Two of the sons had their chance and then came the chance of the third son. At that time, the old man’s birthday was being celebrated and the two sons decided to stay away…. The Opposition members are crying foul that others were sitting in their seats.... Are their names written anywhere?
