Nalbari eclipse Star

Guwahati, Dec. 3: Nalbari Cricket Coaching Centre registered a convincing 10-wicket victory over Star Cricket Academy in their match of the first City Challenge Under-13 Inter-Coaching Centre Cricket Tournament at Janata Bhawan parade ground here today.

Put in to bat, Star Cricket Academy put up 90 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 15 overs.

Raja Das scored 26 runs off 24 balls, while Ivan Baruah scalped three for four runs.

In reply, Nalbari Cricket Coaching Centre eased past the target without losing a wicket in 11.3 overs.

Nihar Deka topscored with an unbeaten knock of 45 runs off 34 balls while Nibir Deka remained not out with 25 runs off 28 deliveries.

Earlier yesterday, Chandmari Cricket Coaching Centre A got the better of Ankurjyoti Cricket Coaching Centre by six wickets.

The Chandmari boys opted to field and managed to restrict Ankurjyoti batsmen for a meagre total of 71 runs for the loss of four wickets in their stipulated 15 overs.

Lobo Kr Paswan was the lone notable scorer with an unbeaten 34 runs off 26 balls while Saranga Jyoti Deka picked up one wicket conceding seven runs.

Chasing the target, Chandamari batsmen played it steady to steer the ship home in 13 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Manish Kr Bharti scored 22 runs off 18 deliveries while Aniket Talukdar contributed with 19 runs off 37 balls.

Lobo Kr Paswan picked up two wickets giving away 19 runs.

Santipur Cricket Academy will play Chandmari Cricket Coaching Centre B tomorrow.
