Calcutta: Eight countries, including hosts India, will vie for top honours in the Asia Pacific Junior Golf Championship, which begins at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club, here on Thursday. The four-day meet will be played on a stroke-play format.
Seventy boys and girls of the under-18 category from countries like Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Nepal will be seen in action
The Indian challenge will be lead by Viraj Madappa. With the participating countries fielding their best juniors, the tournament is set forsome keenly contested matches.
