Bagan upbeat

Calcutta: Mohun Bagan will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Rangdajied United FC in the I-League on Sunday.

Having lost to East Bengal, they split points with Mohammedan Sporting in their previous match.

Adil Khan is expected to be back in the Mohun Bagan squad. While coach Karim Bencharifa was non-committal, they play in 3-5-2 formation as was noticed during Saturday’s training session.

“No matter what formation we play in, we need to be on our toes and try and get full points because the situation demands so,” Karim reminded the players.

“In our last couple of matches, I feel we did quite well, though the results weren’t in our favour. We just need to persist and keep on trying,” Though Rangdajied United FC are at the bottom of the table, the Mohun Bagan coach isn’t willing to take them lightly.

“We can’t underestimate Rangdajied. just because they are at the bottom. The inclusion of IMG-R players have made them a stronger side. So obviously, it won’t be an easy game for us,” he said.

“We need to give Katsumi Yusa and Eric Muranda a little more time. It’s just a matter of one match before they get into their groove,” said Karim.
