Patna, Nov. 26: The LJP today accused the Nitish Kumar government of not listing the achievements or failures of the BJP ministers, its part for the first seven months of the eighth year, in the annual report.

Releasing the annual report card of the Nitish Kumar government’s eighth year in office, Chirag Paswan, the LJP parliamentary board chairman, said: “If Nitish is honest, then why is he afraid of listing the achievements or failure of BJP ministers?”

He, however, categorically said his party was against communal forces and at present, its alliance partner is with the RJD and in near future, the party would work hard to build a strong alternative to both the BJP and the JD(U) by trying to ally with the Congress.

In the absence of LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag said if the Nitish government doesn’t consider the achievements of BJP ministers in the first seven months of the eighth year, then why did Nitish induct them in his government.

Attacking the Nitish government for its failure on all fronts, Paswan said: “Corruption has increased in Nitish’s tenure with government officials not listening to common people. Now, leaders from his own party are raising the issue of indifference of government officials in executing work timely.”

Chirag’s statement assumes importance, as during the JD(U)’s Chintan Shivir in Rajgir last month, state agriculture minister and senior Dal leader Narendra Singh had raised the issue of government officials’ indifference in executing work with the public being the most sufferers.

Party leaders, including state LJP chief Pashupati Kumar Paras, Dalit Sena chief Ram Chandra Paswan, party spokesperson Lalan Chandravanshi and Rohit Kumar Singh, said during the Nitish regime, the state’s crime graph shot up along with a 43 per cent rise in rebel-related incidents and crime against women.
