New Delhi, Nov. 23: The information and broadcasting ministry has constituted a three-member committee to probe the alleged sexual harassment of a student by a senior official at the ongoing international film festival in Goa.
The 25-year-old from Jawaharlal Nehru University, participating in the festival as a programmer, was allegedly harassed on November 18.
Sources said she had approached ministry officials with a written complaint.
The all-women panel includes two officials and a filmmaker. The accused official, a deputy director, has denied the charges but rendered an unconditional apology, following which the girl decided not to approach police, a ministry official said.
