Dumka, Nov. 22: Officials of Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU) yesterday submitted online the information sought by the Union HRD ministry for the third edition of a web-based all-India survey on higher education.
The last date for submission is November 30.
Vice chancellor Ram Yatan Prasad and other officials also interacted with Union secretary of higher education department Ashok Thakur through videoconferencing.
The survey was launched in 2011 across all universities and institutions providing higher education.
The objective was to prepare a database to have a better perspective of the state of affairs and formulate suitable policies for the uplift of the higher education sector.
Varisity development-cum-nodal officer Sujit Kumar Soren said: “Data are being collected from higher education institutions on a wide range of parameters such as faculty members, courses offered, staff availability, student strength, income and expenditures, status of NAAC accreditation etc.
