Food and consumer protection minister Shyam Rajak expressed anger against the district managers of Siwan and Saran for allegedly presenting misguiding reports on lifting and distribution of foodgrain.
Rajak had organised a state-level meeting on Friday to analyse the activities of the department. Rajak said: “Complaints were being made against the two managers for a long time but the State Food Corporation was not taking any action against them.”
He asked the principal secretary of the department, Shishir Kumar, to call the two to the headquarters and start an investigation by the financial crime unit. After the analysis of the lifting and distribution of foodgrain, almost all the districts saw cent per cent lifting of foodgrain.
