Premier management cradle XLRI is getting ready for the 2013 edition of Ensemble. The three-day annual fest will kick off on November 15.
A mega event attended by top B-schools from across the country, Ensemble offers a host of contests where aspiring managers can apply their business acumen against a backdrop of social realities. The theme — ‘Ideate Radically, Grow Sustainably — was launched at another event called Ignito on September 29.
As many as 500 students attended the programme, inaugurated by Pranabesh Ray, dean (academics) and Father James, associate dean (students’ affairs).
Among the fresh attractions this year is a woman entreprenuership summit sponsored by Google in association with XLRI. A number of online events will be also organised. The total prize money is a whopping Rs 15 lakh. Sponsors include TAS, Aditya Birla Group, Accenture, Aircel, Hindustan Petroleum and Aircel.
“Ensemble goes beyond traditional B-school fests as it fosters creativity besides business sense. Over the years, Ensemble has proved to be a melting pot of creative ideas and competitive spirit. The 2013 edition is poised to become bigger and better,” said Amit Anand, secretary of External Linkages, XLRI.
Ensemble also aims to establish interaction between students and the corporate community. The cradle has earlier hosted stalwarts like Prahlad Kakkar and Leena Nair to achieve this goal.
