Calcutta, Oct. 2: Trinamul MP Somen Mitra today said “the government is becoming vindictive”, asked about Kunal Ghosh’s repeated interrogation by the Bidhannagar police commissionerate in connection with the Saradha scam.
Mitra’s comments at a blood donation camp where he shared the stage with state Congress chief Pradip Bhattacharya came on a day Ghosh was interrogated for over two hours. He has been asked to come tomorrow for another round of questioning.
“It appears to me that the government is becoming vindictive. The way the police are repeatedly summoning Kunalů,” Mitra said.
Asked about Mitra’s comments, Trinamul secretary-general Partha Chatterjee said: “We are monitoring him.”
