Islamabad, Sept. 29: A remote-controlled car bomb killed at least 39 people and wounded 91 in Peshawar today, the third terror attack to hit the city in a week.
The private vehicle exploded in the crowded Kissa Khwani market, bomb disposal chief Shafqat Malik said.
Last Sunday, twin suicide attacks on a church after a prayer service in killed 82 people. On Friday, a blast in a bus carrying government employees near Charsadda killed 19 people.
Today’s blast came amid a government announcement that it would hold talks with militant groups under a decision taken early this month in a conference convened by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
