All the accused, including five KLO activists, were arrested and are in jail.
The BSF seized 45 heads of cattle from the Patamari, Hatirchar and Salapara border villages of Dhubri district, while cattle smugglers attempted to take the cattle to Bangladesh today.
Unrest: The Dhubri grocery and hardware market has been hit by the prevailing unrest in the Garo hills districts of Meghalaya for the past couple of weeks.
Traders and businessmen have stopped coming to Dhubri following the unrest, traders said.
