Calcutta, Sept. 19: The Damodar Valley Corporation chairman today said relocating to Jharkhand two of the four units of the under-construction thermal power plant in Purulia’s Ragunathpur could be an option if the problem with land losers was not resolved.
“We are open to dialogue. We are trying to sort out the issues. The first phase (two units of 660MW each) will be completed within this year…. If the problem cannot be solved, that (relocation of the second phase to Jharkhand) could be an alternative,” R.N. Sen said.
“Some people have been causing the trouble, selling dreams to the people,” Sen added.
He, however, did not elaborate on what he meant by “selling dreams”.
