Calcutta: More than the sitters squandered by his men, it was George Telegraph’s time-wasting tactics that made Karim Bencharifa more upset after Mohun Bagan were held to a 1-1 draw in Saturday’s CFL Premier Division Super XII tie, at the Barasat Stadium.
Partial darkness at the venue, too, was a reason that affected his team’s flow and rhythm, the Bagan coach pointed out.
“I think we controlled most parts of the game. There was a lot of time wasting from our opponents that affected our rhythm.
“Even the matter of lights going off went in their favour because momentum was with us as we had just equalised,” the Moroccan said.
