New Delhi: In what turns out as a major embarrassment, India have dropped 10 places to 155 in the latest Fifa rankings that came out on Thursday.
The Fifa rankings rubbed salt into India’s wounds a day after they failed to defend their SAFF Championship title, losing 0-2 to Afghanistan in the final in Kathmandu.
Wim Kovermans’ team now have 143 points in their kitty in the updated list.
By virtue of the lone international title, Afghanistan have climbed up seven places to the 132nd position.
1. Spain; 2. Argentina; 3. Germany; 4. Italy; 5. Colombia; 6. Belgium; 7. Uruguay; 8. Brazil; 9. Netherlands; 10. Croatia
