Calcutta: Eden Park, Auckland, will host the first of the two Tests when India tour New Zealand in January next year. The first Test begins from February 6, while the second starts on February 14 at the Basin Reserve, Welington, as New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced the tour itinerary on Monday.
The tour, however, will begin with the ODI series.
Napier will host the first of the five one-dayers on January 19.
“We felt that with the Tests in Wellington and Auckland, Hamilton was the best spot for a second one-dayer with a large Indian population on their doorstep,” NZC chief executive David White said in a statement.
