Edinburgh: Openers Shaun Marsh (151) and Aaron Finch (148) smashed big hundreds as Australia hammered Scotland by 200 runs in a one-off ODI, here, at the Grange Cricket Club Ground, Raeburn Place, on Tuesday.
Marsh and Finch got the Aussies off to a flier after rival captain Preston Mommsen won the toss and opted to field. The duo clobbered the Scotsmen to all corners of the ground, adding as many as 246 for the first wicket by the 39 th over.
Finch continued with his good form that enabled him register the highest individual score in a Twenty20International, against England, last week.
For Marsh, it was about doing justice to his talent and abilities, which can certainly make him a permanent member of the Australian squad.
Australia 362/3 (S. Marsh 151, A. Finch 148). Scotland 162 (M. Johnson 4/36). Australia won by 200 runs
