Calcutta: Manoj Tiwary, who is recuperating from a knee surgery, has been kept out of Bengal’s 32-member probables list, which was announced by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Friday.
Manoj injured his knee in May and underwent an operation in London earlier this month. The surgery has ruled him out for four months, meaning he will miss almost the entire Ranji Trophy.
Apart from Manoj, all the other senior players made the list, including Shib Shankar Paul.
Eight new faces — Naved Ahmed, Sanjit Sardar, Atanu Ghosh, Pritam Chakraborty, Debabrata Dutta, Manojit Ghosh, Jitendra Shaw and Ankit Kushwan — are in the list.
Other regulars in the senior team like Rohan Banerjee and Veer Pratap Singh have been selected for the 30-member under-25 probables list.
