Calcutta: The working committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will meet in Calcutta on Sunday. This will be the last meeting of the working committee before the annual general meeting.
The BCCI’s annual report and balance sheet would be tabled at the meeting. The IPL governing council, the National Cricket Academy and the date and venue of the AGM are among the things that will be deliberated at the working committee meeting.
The previous meeting of the working committee, in New Delhi, had to be adjourned as the word “emergent” was not mentioned in the circular sent to its members.
With the hearing in the Supreme Court on BCCI’s appeal against the Bombay High Court verdict which declared the IPL probe panel “illegal and unconstitutional” coming up on August 29, its outcome is also expected to be deliberated by the working committee.
