Physics at its best: Students present a robotic dance at inter-school physics festival Inventio 1.3 at Kerala Samajam Model School
last week. The Jamshedpur cradle held a unique competition on August 22, where physics, dreaded for its difficult laws and complicated theories, was made interesting and easy. As many as nine innovative events were held at the daylong fest, where students’ inventing skills were put to test. The host, however, did not participate in any of the events. While Intrigate saw students designing and painting the cover page for an imaginary science journal, Resonect had students piecing together a machine orchestra with apparatus available at any physics lab. Among the fun events was Wheelocity, where teams came up with their miniature cars for a race at the school grounds.
DBMS English School was the overall winner, followed by Kerala Public School, Kadma. Trophies and certificates were handed over to them.
