Calcutta: Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will be providing inputs at a three-week training camp for West Indies players in Barbados.
Speaking to the website PakPassion.net, Saqlain confirmed he is now set to share his insight into the art of spin bowling with the likes of Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree.
“West Indies’ head coach Ottis Gibson, on behalf of the West Indies Cricket Board, asked me to work with the West Indies spinners and I had no hesitation in saying ‘Yes’.
“It’s a new challenge for me and one that I’m really looking forward to,” Saqlain stated.
Taking into account his experience of coaching spinners in Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia and England Lions, Saqlain is confident that his knowledge and background will be of good value to the West Indies tweakers.
