Ranchi, Aug. 22: Chief minister Hemant Soren today approved Rs 20 crore for construction of a new collectorate building in Dumka.
“Officials concerned have been directed to complete necessary formalities and begin groundwork at the earliest. The new building will streamline functioning of the collectorate,” he added.
Hemant also approved two railway overbridges along NH-33 near Ranchi Road station and Bijulia locality in Ramgarh. The railways will bear 50 per cent of the expenses, while the state will fund the rest.
Besides, Rs 2 crore was approved for construction of an approach road and a bridge over Jaita Nala that intersects Majhgaon-Noamundi road in West Singhbhum district.
Another Rs 17.77 crore was cleared for widening of Bokaro Thermal Power Station-Bermo road and construction of a bridge over Joro river.
In another development, Hemant asked disaster management principal secretary K.K. Khandelwal to visit flood-affected areas in Sahebganj and East Singhbhum and take stock of relief work.
