Johannesburg: New CSA chief executive officer Haroon Lorgat feels the presence of India A team in South Africa for a tri-series and two-Tests auger well for the upcoming tour of the senior Indian team in November.
The Indian tour was believed to be under threat because of objections from the BCCI to Lorgat’s appointment last month. But he remained optimistic that the tour would go ahead, although he conceded that there may be some changes to the schedule.
“I don’t believe so,” Lorgat said. “The A team just came in (on Monday) and I welcomed them at the High Performance Centre (in Pretoria). If you look at that team, there are a number of players in that line-up that will be here at the end of the year. (PTI)
