It was mission Singh Mansion for Dhanbad police on Wednesday.
A team raided the residence of Jharia MLA Kunti Singh and attached the property belonging to her absconding nephew Shashi Singh in connection with a rioting case of 2006.
The order was issued by the court of judicial magistrate (first class) S. Birua.
Later in the day, another member of the high-profile family, Balia district board chairman and Shashi’s father Ramadhir Singh, was summoned to Dhanbad police station for questioning in a murder case against his son.
The team led by Bank More inspector Premranjan Sharma reached Singh Mansion around 11.20am and attached Shashi’s property.
Inspector Sharma and other police officers, including women and OCs Ramesh Kumar (Bank More) and Shankar Kamti (Saraidhela) entered the mansion of Jharia MLA.
They questioned Shashi’s aunt Kunti, father Ramadhir and cousin Sanjeev, who also happens to be Kunti’s son.
The team later came out from the house with several articles of Shashi such as washing machine, chairs, bed , quilt and utensils.
All were loaded in an autorickshaw and brought to Dhanbad sadar police station.
Ramadhir was also called to the thana and questioned by Dhanbad DSP (law and order) Amit Kumar from 12.30pm to 4.30pm in connection with the Suresh Singh murder of 2011.
Dhanbad SP Anup T. Matthew took over the questioning from 5pm.
